Have you ever wondered why it took Dove so long to create its "beautiful" campaign? Or why all of a sudden McDonald's has more 'healthy' food items?
May be you wonder why your advertisement or campaign was not successful. It could have been that you didn't have the money for a focus group, so you presented it to a group of employees that didn't fit into your target audience.
Either way, financially constricted or not, you should always take it outside the business and present your ideas and materials to others prior to publication.
Now I am not saying that my ideas are borderline media genius. I am an Ontario twenty-something who enjoys watching the media fight for the spotlight with the best paycheque. What I have to offer is basically the same as the consulting firm you pay thousands of dollars to. Fortunately for you, I actually look at your campaign, watch your ads, present them to appropriate audiences, and then present a report to you -- a realistic report as to how successful your campaign will be for your audience of choice.
